New Year, New Deals!

Is anyone planning to be more money conscious this year?  I certainly am!  I did NOT have my Christmas shopping done by Thanksgiving this year as I planned...not even close!  I like to get gifts all through the year at great prices and then enjoy the lack of drama before the holiday, but that doesn't always happen.  Second on my list of resolutions is to be nice to myself when I don't meet all my goals.  They're usually easier to say than do.  ;)  Anyway, let's talk current deals!

This month is all about sales on healthy living products!  That means great prices on fitness equipment, fitness DVDs, gym memberships, lean cuisine meals, vitamins, etc.  It is also the very best time to stock up on  Christmas clearance items to use next year.  Target's Christmas clearance is now 90% off at my local store (and probably everywhere), and I couldn't resist checking it out today.  I got 10 gift bags, 40 sheets of tissue, and 4 holiday sippy cups (one isn't pictured because it was in use when I took the pic).  The total was $3.93!  I was overjoyed at the savings today, mainly because we went to Target specifically to get new sippy cups with straws.  I am VERY okay with my kid drinking out of an out of season cup that I paid 26 cents for.  She is too.  :)  Check the little area in the corner of the store for these items, but also look in the gift wrap section and the sippy cup aisle.  Use the red scanners to check the prices, because they aren't always advertised.  I also picked up some Happy Munchies rice cakes at BOGO.  That wasn't advertised in the ad either.

Another noteworthy deal is the vitamin sale happening at CVS this week.  Most vitamins are BOGO, and you can stack manufacture coupons and any applicable CVS coupons that print out of their magical machine on top of the deal.  Read more about how to save at CVS here.

I got 2 CoQ-10 vitamin bottles listed normally at $28.79.
They were BOGO, and I used 2 $3 manufacture coupons, as well as $6/$30 coupon that was sent to my extracare card.
So I paid $16.79 instead of $57.58, a savings of $71%!
The multivitamins were $7.  I used a $3 off manufacture coupon, and $3 extrabucks printed from the register, making the vitamins only $1!

All coupons can be found in today's paper: 1/4/15.

HAPPY SAVINGS and Happy New Year!!!!
